Spend A Week In Florida With My Family:
This Was Our First Official Family Vacation To Florida For All Of Us, Except For My Stepdad And My Fiancée (Zack Grew Up There). It Was Definitely One For The Books. We All Had So Much Fun! We Found A Beautiful House Just A Few Blocks From The Beach. It Was Perfect For Our Group, Including An In Ground Pool That We All Lived In All Week Long, As Much As We Could Anyways. We Had So Many New Experiences And Tried Many New Restaurants And Cooked Some Really Good Food At The House A Few Nights. I'm Going To Give You Our Week In A Day By Day Fashion, With All Of My Recommendations Included As We Go Along.
Day One: We Arrived Around Lunchtime, And We All Met Up At The Local Restaurant "The Cow's Head" For A Really Tasty Lunch After Our Drive That Morning. Zack And I Both Tried The Cow Head Patty Melt And Fries, It Was Good But Super Spicy! After Lunch, My Momma Was Ready To See Some Water. It Just So Happened We Were A Block Away From The Harbor. So Off We Went. It Was A Beautiful View But It Sure Wasn't The Ocean. After Some Boat Watching, We Of Course Hit The Local Walmart For Some Groceries And Drinks, Then It Was Time To Check In At Our Home For The Week. The Rest Of That Night Was Spent Unpacking And Lounging In The Pool Till Bed Time.
Day Two: We Were Up Early And Enjoyed Coffee By The Pool With The Chirping Birds. Then We Encountered Some Rain That Soon Passed And We Were Ready For A Day Of Beach Hopping, Our First Official Day At The Ocean, Boy She Definitely Did Not Disappoint. The Views Were Absolutely Beautiful. We Started At The Public Beach In Okaloosa County Where The Fishing Pier Was Located. We Basked In The Beautiful Sunshine For A Few Hours Then We Were Onto The Next Beach, This One Is Called Princess Beach. It Was Stunning! Beautiful White Sand And Emerald Waters, Less Crowded And More Peaceful. The Perfect Photo Taking Beach If You Ask Me. We Also Met Our New Seagull Friend Named Sam At Princess Beach As Well. He Was Enjoying Some Fresh Caught Fish For Lunch, We Ended This Day By The Pool With Lot's Of Laughs And A Fire In The Outdoor Fireplace After My Brother And His Girlfriend Made Homemade Chicken Alfredo For Dinner .
Day Three: We Were Up Early Again And Enjoying Coffee And Enjoying The Early Morning Rain And Having French Toast And Cinnamon Rolls For Breakfast, Afterwards Some Deep Relaxation And A Movie, Then We Decided That Our Day Would Be Spent Walking The Boardwalk And Having Some Lunch In Destin. We Hit Some Small Business Shops And Bought Some Souvenirs And T-Shirts. Our Favorite Shop Was One Called " A Christmas To Remember." They Sell Hand Painted Christmas Ornaments That They Customize By Hand. We Got A Sea Turtle One. Then After A Few More Shops And A lot Of Steps It Was Time To Head Out For Lunch. We Ended Up At Fudpuckers. It Was Well Worth The Time And Money To Us. The Experience Is Amazing, Seeing Live Baby Alligators Getting Fed Was So Fun And We Learned So Much. Food Wise, It Is All So Good! The Pineapple Coleslaw Will Absolutely Knock Your Socks Off! It's So Yummy! After An Extra Filling Lunch And A Few More Survivors, We Were Headed Home For The Evening To Relax By The Pool And The Outdoor Fireplace.
Day Four: I Was Up Early As Always. I Enjoyed A Hot Cup Of Coffee While Zack Slept In For A Bit Longer. I Sat In The Sun Room Off The House And Listened To The Early Morning Rain Shower That We Experienced This Morning As Well. After Some Pancakes And Bacon That My Youngest Brother And His Friend Cooked Us We Decided To Bask In The Sunshine By The Pool For A Few Hours And Decide On Our Plans For This Day. A Few Hours Later, We Were Off To The Navarre Beach Sea Turtle Conservation Center Where We Met Another New Friend Who's Name Was Sweet Pea. She Was Precious. Afterward We Headed Off The The Outdoor Air Force Plane Exhibit. This Was So Awesome! We Seen Real Life Planes That Were Used By The US Airforce In Different Periods Of History. They Were Huge! After All The Walking Around It Was Time For Some Lunch. We Ended Up At A Local Joint Called Merlin's Pizza. Home Of The Blooming Meatball And The Honey Butter Chicken Pizza. They Were Both SO Yummy!10/10 Recommend. We Ended The Night By The Outdoor Fireplace Listening To The Crickets Chirp And Our Music Of Course.
Day Five: We Were All Up Extra Early To Catch The Sunrise Over The Beach. It Was So Pretty, We Also Ended Up Seeing Some Dolphins Swimming Along The Pier Shortly After Sunrise. It Was One Of The Single Most Amazing Things That I Have Ever Seen In My Life. Our Sea Chicken Friend "Blue" Also Made Another Appearance And Stayed Within Walking Distance Of Us The Whole Time We Were There. A Few Hours In We Decided To Pack Up And Do A Few More Things Around Town, Like Get A Net And A Crab Catching Set From Walmart. Zack And I Also Went Ahead And Had Our Matching Airbrush T-Shirts Made At The Walmart As Well. Later That Afternoon After We Had Some Amazing Lasagna For Dinner, We Decided To Head Back To The Beach For The Sunset And Some Night Time Crab Catching. The Crab Catching Part Was So Much Fun!
Day Six: We Ended Our Vacation Spending Our Last Full Day There In The Pool The Whole Entire Day. We Floated And We Tanned And We Recapped On Our Adventures And How Much Fun That Our First Family Vacation To Florida Really Was. This Night We Ended With Dinner At Dewey Destin's On The Harbor. We Also Took Some Photo's On The Harbor As Well. Even Though We All Were Sad About Leaving, We Were Ready To Get Home To Our Fur Babies Who Stayed The Week At My Cousin's House.
All In All I Would Say That We Had An Amazing Vacation And Are Counting Down The Days Until We Can Go Back Again. Zack And I Have Even Talked About Moving There (LOL). We Had So Many New Adventures And New Views. Until We Meet Again Florida, Thank You For The Memories <3
